from a bar somewhere 2

excuse me, I think you just
dropped a name, I've picked it up
I've heard you all, I've had enough
with so-and-so from such-and-such

excuse me, I've got to go
so have your drink with so-and-so
I hear she's pretty popular

on tour

Being on tour is like an intensive workshop. David, Kim, and I have travelled over 1000 km, written, arranged, rehearsed, performed, and recorded and we are now sitting in a hotel in Revelstoke writing and recording, soon to sleep. Tomorrow night we get to meet David's parents, which I am so excited about, as it will be the first time and that seems ridiculous to me. Quick stop in Kamloops to see Mary and then off to Bowen Island.
I feel free out here, living on the money I make daily, reinventing myself in every town I stop in, understanding that I am a mere snapshot in the eyes of the people I meet.
Sometimes it's nice to shut off the movie that is life and turn myself into a black and white snapshot.
Erin, I love you tonight my friend. You are so good.
Alison, I am going to hate not living with you. You are the best sister, bah.
Michelle, you are fascinating and ever-present in my thoughts. Never doubt it.
I am so f-ing lucky, it's stupid.

my favorite time of year

I truly love this season. I guess it's autumn and of course since I am here in Alberta, it lasts approximately 3.6 days. I tell you, though, when day one of those 3.6 hits, I am a happy girl over here.
Anyone who has been to a show recently will know that the infatuation I spoke of in April has dwindled and died, leaving the bitter dust of regret in its wake. Oh well.
I am procrastinating right now. I should be pinning clothes for alterations, making cds for my show on Saturday, and doing the pre-tour work. I should be cleaning the house. I should be getting ready to take the van into the autobody shop. Ha. I haven't touched my blog journal thingy since June, but it can really become a priority when I have 6 other important tasks on the list.
At the beginning of September, I travelled the Oregon Coast, as well as California, and a few other states. I have over 100 photos to share with you and pages apon pages of journal entries from that trip, but I returned home to find that the cord that connects my mom's digital camera to the computer has gone missing...what is it with the electronics in this house? First the phone antenna, now this...geez.
I have busy times ahead and I am excited to get on the road. Speaking of that, I really must go prepare myself.
When I have figured out a way to get my photos in this box, I will share my journeys with you.
Until then,
jasmine
