Being on tour is like an intensive workshop. David, Kim, and I have travelled over 1000 km, written, arranged, rehearsed, performed, and recorded and we are now sitting in a hotel in Revelstoke writing and recording, soon to sleep. Tomorrow night we get to meet David's parents, which I am so excited about, as it will be the first time and that seems ridiculous to me. Quick stop in Kamloops to see Mary and then off to Bowen Island.
I feel free out here, living on the money I make daily, reinventing myself in every town I stop in, understanding that I am a mere snapshot in the eyes of the people I meet.
Sometimes it's nice to shut off the movie that is life and turn myself into a black and white snapshot.
Erin, I love you tonight my friend. You are so good.
Alison, I am going to hate not living with you. You are the best sister, bah.
Michelle, you are fascinating and ever-present in my thoughts. Never doubt it.
I am so f-ing lucky, it's stupid.
